Carole's love of travel began in 1969 when she was 16 years old in the UK and she travelled on a package holiday to Croatia (then Yugoslavia). At 19 Carole became an air stewardess with a major British airline.

Carole has travelled extensively ever since. Cruising is her passion and she has travelled on all major cruise lines including Cunard QE2 and QM2, Silverseas, Princess Cruises, Holland America, Star Cruises, and Royal Caribbean. She has escorted 5 group tours to Alaska and will escort groups to Russia and China in 2006.

Philip Smethurst

Phil brings a wealth of personal travel experience to the Bicton Travel team after having travelled extensively. From Botswana to Bolivia, from Dubai to Disneyland and most of in between, Phil's love affair with travel has taken him to all corners of the globe by plane, train and automobile. Not to mention by ship! - Phil has cruised the world aboard Cunard Line, Discovery Cruises, Holland America, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Orion Expedition Cruises, Royal Caribbean, Sea Dream Yacht Club, Star Clippers, Star Cruises as well as River Cruising in Europe.

Fiona Paino

Supervisor, Accredited Cruise Consultant

Fiona began her career in Travel as a reservation consultant with a major Australian Wholesaler. Her people skills led her to Bicton Travel where she has become an intricate part of the Retail Leisure Team.

She has travelled to New Zealand, Mauritius, Maldives and extensively in Asia and lists Borneo as one of her favourite destinations.

Fiona has cruised from Fremantle onboard Superstar Virgo, around New Zealand onboard mv Discovery, in Asia onboard Cunard QE2 and the South Pacific onboard Pacific Princess.

Chris Welsford

Chris is our resident Kiwi born and bred in New Zealand, she immigrated to Perth 25 years ago. After many years in the travel industry she joined the Bicton team in August 04 which has enabled her to expand her knowledge and passion for cruising and luxury travel.

Her most recent travels have taken her to Hawaii, Mauritius, the South Pacific onboard Pacific Sun and South America, which would now have to be a favourite destination.

Connie adopted the Travel Industry in 1990 and has 14 years experience in travel and cruising. Her love for travel to exotic destinations in Europe, UK, Asia, New Zealand and the Pacific is evident. Visiting the most remote areas of the globe including Maldives, Mauritius, Morea Island (Tahiti), and the Aeolian Islands in the Mediterranean. Her recent highlights have been aboard the Star Flyer visiting the unspoilt island of the Andaman Sea, Hua Hin in Thailand and Reunion Island. The world is her oyster.

Maggie Stark

Maggie's love of travel started as a young girl when she sailed from the UK to Australia via the Suez Canal. She enjoyed the experience so much she cruised back to the UK via the Panama Canal several years later.

Finally deciding Australia was her home she returned to Perth and has been in the travel industry for more than 20 years and has visited the USA, South America, India, Africa and Asia.
